Don't Let Weight Loss Surgery Make you eat in all the Time

When you eat at home, it is very easy to stick to your after weight loss diet. You control the temptations around you, and if you're wise, you already have your meals carefully planned out.

At home, your supportive family members and friends know what you're going through, and they don't try and sabotage your goals. Since your family has been with you from day one, through pre-care and everything, they know what to expect and aren't filled with the desire to make silly comments or ask silly questions.

Still, you can't eat at home forever. You had weight loss surgery because you wanted to have a more active role in your life and in society, so stop hiding. What are you waiting for? Let's go out and eat.

Eating out after weight loss surgery will definitely be different from eating out before the surgery. Your body is different and so is your mindset. Because you're prepared, eating out is going to be a small piece of cake for you.

Burger King is where your little girl wants to have her birthday party. No problem. Burger King sells more than burgers. They also sell salads and grilled chicken breasts. Just be sure and see what additives are placed on your food. Burger King is all about “Having it Your Way” so make sure your food comes out plain, without sugar and excessive salt.

If you don't prefer Burger King's food, bring your own. This is something many parents do when they take their kids out for fast food meals. No one will even wonder why you are eating your own special meal. They will just think you are a healthy eater, which you are. Instead of getting cookies or greasy fries with the birthday party meals, try Burger King Apple Fries (they're just apple slices). The kids will love them and so will you.

Most fine dining establishments have entire sides of their menus dedicated to healthy dishes. Of course, these are more expensive than a side salad at Burger King, but the portions are usually big enough for two meals (In this economy, nobody is ashamed to be seen taking a doggie bag home, and it's certainly not for the dog either) or for a romantic shared meal with you and that special person.

Even though you have undergone weight loss surgery, your days of eating out are not over. Now, you're just eating the way you should have been eating.
